Code is how I think.

I'm Makechi Eric — a Computer Scientist and freelance software developer based in Nairobi, Kenya. I spend most of my time building Stoqera, a SaaS suite for Kenyan SMEs, and taking on client projects that challenge me technically.

My stack spans the full spectrum — from Next.js and React on the frontend, to Spring Boot and Laravel on the backend. I have a particular affinity for local payment integrations like M-Pesa Daraja.

Outside of work, I tinker with home automation, run an ISP, produce ambient YouTube content, and customize my bspwm desktop to exactly how I want it.

Founder & Lead Developer — Stoqera

Building a SaaS suite of business management tools (IMS, POS, Assets) targeting Kenyan SMEs.

2023–Now

Freelance Software Developer

Client work spanning payment platforms, ISP billing, e-commerce, and custom web apps. Notable: UrbanPay installment platform.

2020

Started CS Journey

Began with Java and PHP, graduated into the modern web stack with React, Next.js, and Laravel.
